About Nicole

Nicole Triche is currently an Associate Professor at Elon University where she is the director of the elondocs production program.  She is also a summer instructor at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.  Prior to graduate school at UNC-Greensboro, Triche worked at PBS member station, UNC-TV in various positions, including four years as the producer of the independent film series North Carolina Visions.  Her previous film festival leadership experience includes co-directing the Carolina Film and Video Festival and directing the Flicker screening series. Her documentary shorts have been shown at multiple festivals including Full Frame, Atlanta Film Festival, and the Milwaukee Film Festival.  Her most recent short documentary, All Skate, Everybody Skate, won an Excellence in Filmmaking award at the Carrboro Film Festival.
